Visit the Packaging Drop Zone at PPMA and get top marks for coding and marking on your packaging

Coding and marking specialists, Rotech Machines Ltd, are inviting visitors to the PPMA Total Show in October to bring a selection of packaging samples to the Packaging Drop Zone on Stand A37, where they can be submitted for FREE sample printing and analysis using their latest thermal inkjet technology.

The new Top Marks service is designed to offer customers a hassle-free and cost-free comparison between their current coding and marking methods and Rotech’s latest innovations.

Packaging samples submitted at Packaging Drop Zone will be taken back to Rotech’s Hertfordshire test centre where they will be printed using the most efficient solution for the application. The printed samples will then be returned to the customer, along with a detailed report which compares their current printing methods with the new technology, highlighting the efficiency improvements and the potential cost-savings that can be achieved.

Rotech Director, Richard Pether, said “The idea behind this new service is simply to give customers easy access to useful and valuable information without taking up much of their time.  It’s part of our job to educate customers and help them to do more for less. This service allows customers to see the comparisons for themselves so that they can make informed choices going forward”.

Coding and marking made simple

Rotech’s thermal inkjet technology (TIJ) gives customers the flexibility to easily adapt to suit changes to packaging materials, design, size or shape. Clean and maintenance free, thermal inkjet is an ideal replacement for thermal transfer (TT) printers and continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers that print variable information such as date codes, batch numbers and barcodes onto labels, films, cartons and sleeves.

How to take part

Packaging samples can be taken to The Packaging Drop Zone on Rotech’s Stand (A37) at the PPMA Total Show 2019. Participants can simply place their packaging in one of the sample collection bags, complete the short questionnaire about their current coding and marking processes and post the bag in the box. The printed samples and report will be sent to the customer within seven working days.

Customers who submit their packaging samples at the Packaging Drop Zone will receive:

  • Their returned samples printed in high resolution using the latest thermal inkjet technology
  • Detailed trial results highlighting the potential cost-savings when compared to their current methods
  • An optional FREE on-site demonstration of the technology used on samples
  • A free starter-pack of ink cartridges with any printer purchase made.
